Dear Friend:
I feel compelled to tell you about this website. The idea came to me in a prayer in the middle of the night while I was visiting my best friend, Ray, and his wife, Linda, in Arizona. I asked the Lord how I could help people who have a difficult time telling others about Him. I know for myself that this can be hard to do at times, especially when people curse around me. They use God's name in vain with such frequency that it seems like nothing more than a blink of an eye to them. This crushes my heart. I want people to know not to use His name in vain. I want people to know that I love the Lord. Thus, the idea to make buttons came to me! I could make a button that would say NO CURSING ZONE or perhaps JESUS LOVES YOU. I know there would be someone who would ask me about the button, and this would give me a chance to be a witness for Christ.
I was so excited about the buttons and website, but I had a few reservations. I said to the Lord, "I don't know anything about creating a website, nor do I know how to use the computer very well. I don't even know anything about buttons - where or how to get them." I had a thousand reasons as to why I couldn't do this. Suddenly, 1 was reminded about the time God called Moses to lead the Isrealites out of Egypt. Moses, also, wasn’t so sure of himself, but God told him, "I shall be with you." (Exodus, Ch.3, v. 10-12). Now, WHO put that thought into my head at that particular moment? It was hard for me to think of all the things it would take to do this seemingly difficult task, but 1 told the Lord I would do it. I would do it by faith. I believed the Lord would help me as he helped Moses. I knew it would be possible with Him.
In the morning, I told Ray that I was going to sell buttons on the web. His response was, "Great!" He then asked me some questions, and, of course, I didn't have the answers. He said he knew right where to start - with a .com website. So, the journey started that day.
It has been a long road to get to where I am today. When I look at this website, I marvel how it has all gotten here. There were so many ups and downs working on this project. I had to learn so many things, and, at my age, that can be quite a challenge. As my best friend told me, "You are the C.E.O., and you make all the decisions." The Lord has indeed blessed me with good people to help make this site what it is today.
